Florida State Dismisses Starting Wide Receiver From Team

Stay connected for news and updates

Already dealing with the indefinite suspension of linebacker Nigel Carr, the Florida State Seminoles dismissed a key player from their team for (reportedly) failing drug tests.

"He has been dismissed for a violation of team rules," Jimbo Fisher said. "We wish him the best. We'll miss him."

Jarmon Fortson was third on the team last year in receptions after bringing in 45 passes for 610 yards and 4 touchdowns. Even more damaging to the FSU offensive attack could be that Fortson's replacement is a guy who only caught one pass last season. That's a pretty significant drop off, if you didn't notice.
