Nigel Carr's Busy Week Possibly Leaves Florida State Short A Linebacker

Florida State linebacker Nigel Carr likes piling up the stats. In 2009 he recorded 26 tackles for the Seminoles while seeing action in all 13 FSU games with just one start. Looking to step into a full-time starting role in 2010, Carr got off to a great start this spring where he not only made waves on the depth chart but also received a team award.

Competing with senior Mister Alexander for the starting strongside linebacker position, Carr's off the field stats last week all but put Alexander's name in big, bold, black ink atop the depth chart and left the remainder of Carr's career in Tallahassee in jeopardy.

Star-divide

Carr was arrested for breaking into two cars on the Florida State campus. In one of them he stole the victim's credit card. That's just the end of his spree though. Allegedly Carr also broke into another car near the stadium on Saturday in which police say he stole the victim's checkbook. Oh, you thought that was it? Nope! He was also busted earlier in the week on a misdemeanor marijuana charge.

If you're keeping track, that's four felonies and three misdemeanors in over the last seven days. Now that's a busy week!

Yeah this stinks for us... he was actually up to 240lbs and still very fast.

Mr. Alexander WAS pushing him hard for the starting Job, but now there is a depth issue and one of those VHT OLB’s will be forced to play A LOT of minutes as a True Frosh.

Giddy-up!

Photo caption FTW

Although, Nigel does not need the cars to be unlocked. Windshield smashing is more fun, anyway.
