Rangers Update: The Basement Battle

The bad news for the Texas Rangers is they they are currently occupying the basement of the AL West division. However, the good news is that they are only 1.5 games out of first place. This weekend's trip to Seattle is huge from the standpoint that a series win over the Mariners would lift the Rangers out of last place and firmly plant Seattle there. The other thing that could happen is that Texas could shoot up the conference standings. Yes, it is possible that by Sunday we could see them go from worst to first. Of course that depends largely on what L.A. and Oakland does. Both are playing on the road at Detroit and Toronto respectfully.
