Yeah but
That was right after losing Hand so there heads couldn’t have been totally in it. Plus D-Rob was in foul trouble early and never really got into the flow of the game. I think Sunday will be a very different game than the previous one. If we can get up and down the court in a hurry I think our speed is a huge advantage in this game. Not saying it’s going to be easy by any means, but this is a very different OU team than the one who played ND earlier this season.

I think they would be a definite favorite over ND, but not sure about Nebraska given the season they’ve had. I’d like our chances a lot better w/ her against Nebraska though. As it is now, we just don’t have anyone that we can consistently rely on to knock down the three. Stevenson is the closest thing we have and she has a tendency to be very streaky. Without Hand, we basically get all of our points inside the three point line unless Stevenson is hitting. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume w/ a healthy Hand at this point that we’d be the favorite to come out of our portion of the bracket.

I'd agree with that
we’d go from sweet 16 team that might get to the Elite 8, to a legit Final Four team with Hand. I think she would have helped bring out defenses, and helped Olajuwan on the inside get open more.

Quite a bit
Unfortunately we lose Amanda Thompson, Nyeshia Stevenson, and Abi Olajuwon. To me Thompson is almost unreplaceable, she’s that valauble to the team. That’s not meant as a slight to the other two seniors, but Thompson just does so many things. While getting Hand back will provide a much more consistent outside threat than Stevenson, Hand is nowhere near the athlete of Stevenson so the drives to the basket and defensive ability take a hit. Then you have Olajuwon who has made a very significant improvement throughout this year and while I’m excited about Joanna McFarland’s potential, she’s gonna need a sub behind her and as of now I don’t see that person on our roster.
So, we lose quite a bit with those three seniors leaving. Granted we’ll still have Robinson, Hand, Roethlisberger, and McFarland but I think this team will have definitely overachieved if they make it this far again next year.
Don’t know a whole lot about their recruiting class other than the point guard they signed and I really only know that because she’s from Bishop Gorman in Vegas which has been a football pipeline. Supposedly she has a very similar game to Robinson and is supposed to be lightning quick, but I believe she’s pretty short though (like 5’5" to 5’6" range I think).
