Linebacker Corey Nelson is going to be an Aggie a Sooner and the Jeffcoat situation was resolved earlier this week. The best chance for a surprise pick up for the Sooners today is if offensive lineman John Cullen decides to pick OU. Other than that chances are that any "surprises" that may pop up would most likely be something going against Oklahoma's favor. We'll be here today to try our best to keep up with the letters as they are reported in. Let us know what you're hearing from the rumor mill.

I see Irwin, Jefferson, McClain, and Woods, but I don’t see Stills? I know there was some question about a class that may or may not qualify, so does his omission mean he’s possibly not going to qualify? That would suck.

I was also just listening on KREF and they were discussing one of our kids that we’ve already lost. I missed the name though, but it sounded like it was due to grades and he’s probably going either the JUCO route although they also mentioned that he might sign w/ Arkansas? Any idea who they’re talking about.

He’s no longer listed on Rivals, so that must have been who they were talking about.
Kind of disappointing
From the aspect that even after he was suspended from Jenks for the season that OU did the honorable thing and held his scholarship offer for him. Then he bolts for Arkansas at the last minute. This stuff happens though as we’re all aware.
WWLS is reporting Stills
is enrolled at OU, but has not cleared the NCAA yet. They didn’t think it was going to be an issue, and were surprised he hadn’t been cleared yet.

From what I understand
It would really just prevent him from participating in spring ball. If they can’t get it resolved, he’d still be eligible in the fall (assuming he would decide to stay of course).

Yeah
But that just shows the allure of OU and credit to our coaches if it winds up becoming official. There was a natural questioning after the whole Jeffcoat thing, but this class was going to be good with or without him. So clearly the coaches haven’t lost a thing.

well, I was one, that wondered if the coaches hadn’t slipped after last years mediocre class, than a disappointing year on the field. I was worried the coaches had lost that edge and were getting a little complacent.

ncaa clearing house has not cleared Stills yet, and he’s already enrolled at oU. Saying they thought it would go fairly quickly and is going on longer than expected.

has no coverage of college football…than the talk shows complain that no one goes to CU and CSU games…and they don’t raise money.

Has been discussing CU and how bad Hawkins is doing. I guess they lost a QB recruit today and they’ve missed on something like the top 10 kids in CO. Not good. I’m guessing that unless they have an unbelievable year he’s gone after this year.

the #8 player in Cu committed to CU a 3* TE. out of top 25 kids in CO…CU got 2…two….one more than one That’s terrible. Wyoming out recruited CU in Colorado.

In a heartbeat. Not sure why he thinks he might not be able to get on the field w/ OU next year considering how poorly our o-line played last year. Not sure about undefeated, but I definitely think we end the texass streak this year. I think their fans are VERY optimistic about their chances this year. They’re losing more than we are and from what I’ve read, they expect very little if any dropoff. I think they will be very disappointed if those are their expectations and we’ll be very, very happy.

Although, I posted up top that the way it was explained this morning was that this issue would simply prevent him from participating in spring ball. He would be available in the fall, so it’s not like this would prevent him from playing next year or anything.

they have CU at 70th in the country. Dead last in the big 12. Behind such national powers as Vanderbilt, Memphis and Iowa St.
Colorado St…..is ranked 59th.

Answer: John Cullen will announce in about an hour. It won’t be USC, it will either be Utah or Oklahoma
Obviously I’m biased, but if it’s a choice between Utah and OU I think it’s a no brainer. I know Utah has made a run here in the last couple years and have a very good coach, but OU is just on another level as a program. Guess we’ll know in about an hour.
Utah and BYU
are BCS programs in a non-BCS (at least for now) conference, and are in Salt Lake valley surrounded by mountains. But Utah, is not OU as far as tradition, and national perception.

He was thought to be a Tenn lean w/ Kiffin and when he left I think a lot of people assumed he would follow to U$C. I do remember reading about him being a UCLA fan, so dropping U$C I guess shouldn’t be a huge surprise.

only 13 commits. Though they still rank higher than Iowa St, and CU
UT and OU have more 5 and 4 star recruits than they do a whole class.

There is still some recruits left out there that will go to other schools and might shake these up a little but overall good rankings for us.
