"Scholarships are not guaranteed for next year. There will be some decisions that will be made. So if guys aren’t motivated, then they’ll make that decision a little bit easier." — Jeff Capel, when asked what it will take to keep his team motivated.

OH wow!
that’s actually speaking volumes, when you are talking about pulling scholarships.
"You have been banned from the Purple Row, for Inappropriate conduct, profanity, (&) telling site authors their articles are crap."
Well...
I know for a fact (first hand) that all basketball scholarships (not sure about most other sports) are on a year to year basis.
I like the fact that Capel is laying it out there for Sooner nation and the players to see.
The only ones that I think should be guaranteed to have their scholarships renewed are:
Tommy Mason Griffin
Cade Davis
Andrew Fitzgerald
Tiny Gallon
And that is really it. The rest need to show that they want it.

football scholarships are year to year as well, it’s just that you’d be a dick to pull one because the player wasn’t performing well enough.

I know wrestling scholarships
are year to year as well. There is some turn over in those guys, as they gain weight, grow, get tired of the sport, etc. So I thought it was just that sport. I also know Track and Field are year to year as well, but what I know there was due to foreign born track and field athletes, as some don’t make grades, or get home sick.
On a side note: A lot of the minor sports, aren’t full scholarships. In fact some wrestling scholarships are actually 1/4 scholarships.

I don't honestly think
Capel will pull them but if throwing that out there doesn’t light a fire under some of these guys butts then some of those players are lost causes.
