Before you get too upset that Landry Jones didn't make the Big 12 teams...
His numbers were better than any QB during Big 12 play, so the Coaches obviously didn't factor that. If Coaches based their votes on the team's overall success, then it's simple... Weeden helped his team exceed expectations, and Landry didn't put his team in position to meet theirs. OU had every reason to expect to be unbeaten at this point, and Landry didn’t exactly help our cause against Texas A&M and Missouri. However, that theory still wouldn't explain why you vote Robert Griffin III over Landry Jones. Baylor was simply blown out of the water in four big games this season: TCU; OSU; T-A&M; and OU. Robert Griffin III wasn't the main factor in those losses, but he certainly wasn't Cameron Newton either. Maybe they considered the lack of athletes that Girffin has surrounding him, when compared to Landry Jones. I'm not justifying Landry not making the conference teams; I think he deserves more respect on a national level. I'm just trying to rationalize this situation for everyone (myself included). In terms of long-term OU success, I'm actually glad Landry didn't get a spot. Maybe this will motivate him to go out and get even better, and OU will reach their goal of playing for a national championship. In the mean time, Landry needs to just focus on leading us to our 7th Big 12 championship. BOOMER!
Sidenote: At the beginning of the year, it would've been hard to imagine that Jerrod Johnson wouldn't even be in this conversation... funny how things change.

Stoops said they voted before the last game was played
This is silly to me, Obvious Sat. night who is a All Big 12 QB.

And...
It was certainly obvious, even before Saturday, that Landry is light years ahead of Robert Griffin, IMO opinion. I think the Coaches are starting show their frustration of not being able to beat us on the field. The only way to get back is by not giving our players the awards they deserve. Millard, T. Lewis, and Landry were all shafted.
But
Landry did look awful in the losses to A&M and Missouri. He makes mistakes, but they are REALLY dumb ones. Maybe that is hurting him. He is a much better QB than Griffin, but Griffin made a lot of hay early on and left some pretty powerful impressions on a lot of people during that run.
