Texas A&M to play in Cotton Bowl

Texas A&M is headed to their 12th Cotton Bowl, accepting an invitation to face an undetermined Southeastern Conference team.

The Aggies finished 9-3 this season and 6-2 in the Big 12 to earn the right to play Jan. 7 at Cowboys Stadium in the 75th edition of the AT&T Cotton Bowl.

Texas A&M last played in the bowl in 2005, losing to Tennessee 38-7. The Aggies (No. 18 BCS, No. 19 AP) have been to two straight bowl games under coach Mike Sherman.

Their opponent will be determined after the SEC championship.

Guess this will mean Alamo Bowl if the lose.
