OU Fans Be Glad Landry Got a Year to Play

The year OU just had will be the year Texas struggles through next year. As OU fans, we all should be glad that Landry got a year under his belt. I couldn't help but feel bad for Texas' young Gilbert. Of course, I got over it quickly.

Next year will be better even with the losses to the NFL. Texas suffered a big loss last night and 2010 will be tougher. This was their year to win it all and the missed the chance.

well I am super glad Texass got beat

lost their chance the other night and their crappy Whorn fans have to remember it all year long. Colt getting injured was not good and I wish him well, but all along I have always thought that in these days of big fast D-linemen that running QB’s are going to get hurt.

have fun Texass and always remember Jan 7 2010. The day texass lost the NC.

As opposed to Jan 8th 2009? The day OU lost the NC by the same margin they lost to Texas by?

We’ll be back to the MNC by the time Gilbert is out of school… with the classes we’re pulling in, and the coaching quality and stability we have I’d be very worried if I were a Sooner.

Not worried at all

Just like you are not worried of the Sooners. Of course we have never had to wait 35 or so years between NC’s. I will lose no sleep worrying about the Shorthorns. Have fun next year and I will lay a bet down right now that the Horns won’t see another NC game with Gilbert at the helm.

In the interest of quicker games Ron should just tell the ump he's pulling the Feliz card and the ump should rule the inning over.--Sherman McCoy on Sept. 4, 2009

Worried????

After the USC woopin we received, I for one thought OU football was going to take a major step backwards. It did for one season. But the next three seasons we racked in 3 conference titles, played for a national championships, and produced a Heisman trophy winner. After the 4th season, we won a bowl game. So NO, I’m not worried. We are consistently outrecruited in my eyes by Texas every year. Texas doesn’t even have to put forth effort when luring in their recruits unlike OU. But yet, OU is still a force to be reckoned with. There’s no denying the greatness and monster that Bob Stoops has created. We have a good head coach and great assistant coaches. And, Bob still holds the lead over Brown. I’m not worried at all. If anything, teams had better fear “the Hammer” next season. Lewis is going to light folks up………BOOMER!

We should still win 10+ a year

not matter how many players leave….we are one of the big boys of college football and should act like it year after year.

I agree with all that BUT

it’s easier said than done.

the Hammer will teach quite a few lessons

to opposing QB’s, RB’s WR’s, and kick returners over the next two years. I already see visions of hits like what Roy Williams did to Colt ‘Gelded’ McCoy, the one David Vickers laid on the RB in the 80’s etc. For everyone playing in the B12 next year, if you touch the football you need to keep one eye on Ronnell Lewis and make sure you are not going to cross his path. Lewis is a man on a mission to make sure you feel it when he hits you.

Do you mean Chris Simms?

Although McCoy’s been around for a long time…

Roy Williams drafted 2002
Colt McCoy commits to Texas 2005

can’t fathom how you got them confused.

and the supposed OU fan thought Roy Williams played in the last 7 years at the college level….

Right...

…why even mention the white thing?

As far as talent, I’m pretty sure you couldn’t spot it on the inside of your eyeglasses if you think that Simms and McCoy were talentless.

Well for starters they're both white.

If that offends you, I guess I am sorry. It’s probably the most shocking thing that has ever been written on the internet. But hey I’m a shocking kind of guy…
