OU Prospect Profile: Roy Finch

One thing for sure is that Oklahoma’s offensive backfield is deep and talented and coaches intend to keep it that way. In early June the Sooners received a verbal commitment from 4-star running back Brennan Clay of San Diego and then last week running backs coach Cale Gundy had another 4-star back pledged his allegiance to the Sooners.

Star-divide

Roy Finch is a 5-8/170 lbs multipurpose back from Niceville, Florida. He runs a 4.4 forty and has a 34 inch vertical. Last season, as a junior, he 1,296 rushing yards with 16 touchdowns and 299 receiving yards. Finch was heavily recruited by the S.E.C. receiving offers from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. He has received 12 scholarship offers in all, choosing Oklahoma above all.

Obviously we won’t know the true potential of these guys until we see them on the field in a college football game but it at least appears that the era of outstanding running backs at OU is a long way from being over.

RB

2 top 100 players at RB, we are set at that position. OU also picked up another great addition to the ’10 OL class last week after 4* OL Austin Woods committed to OU!
