I found this article on newsok.com regarding Barry Switzer's life since he resigned from coaching at OU, which was 20 years ago today. It's hard to believe it's been that long. He's had his share of critics over the years, but I admire how he's taken everything in stride and been a good ambassador for the university and state of Oklahoma.

sergio has officially done nothing illegal, no word on what his punishment is. he got a 3 game suspension his first DUI/DWI. what did loadholt get his 2nd DUI/DWI? sat out 1 game against a 1AA school as I recall?

ramonce taylor was dismissed from the team by mack brown.

ricky williams has severe social anxiety disorder, something that’s treated legally with marijuana. i don’t know that he ever failed a drug test or got in trouble legally during his 1 year with mack..

cedric benson, his marijuana possession charge was dropped…. legally the equivalent of justin chaisson pleading down his multiple felonies to misdemeanors and being allowed to join the football team…. only he held a screwdriver to a girl’s neck, and benson held a joint…

and personally, my stance on marijuana is it should be legalized/decriminalized, and I could care less about benson and williams’ smoking…
