Juan Pattillo Dismissed from the OU Basketball Team
Well it started off as a rumor yesterday, but has crescendoed to a legitimate story today. Courtesy of the Oklahoman:
Juan Pattillo, expected to contend for a starting spot next season, was dismissed Sunday from OU’s basketball squad.
Sooners coach Jeff Capel announced Patillo’s dismissal for violation of team rules in a released statement and said he’d have no comment. Pattillo was suspended one game during the regular season for similar cause, believed to be academic related.
This is unfortunate, as Pattillo played well at times this past season. I was expecting with another year of seasoning that he could develop into a good wing player.
I do appreciate the fact that Jeff Capel runs a tight ship though. That should bode well for the future of the program. Still, sad to see Pattillo go.

Looks like there is little doubt that Gallon will be called on immediately to be an impact player now
I agree that gallon has the talent to be an immediate impact player
But I don’t know about the NBA future of player who is 6’8" and says that he is a center. That’s short for a PF in the NBA, much less a center. Still, if he produces and convinces people he is PF, then he still could very well be gone.

He will definitely be moved
To PF if he makes the NBA but that is a pretty common occurrence, I think more than half of the College Centers drafted play Forward in the NBA.
