Blake Griffin Wins the 2009 Naismith
Not surprisingly, Blake Griffin was announced as the 2009 Naismith Award winner today. That pretty much makes it a clean sweep of the postseason hardware for Blake, which is something just about everyone could have predicted right around the turn of the New Year.
Also, this makes history as OU is the first school to ever have a Heisman and Naismith winner in the same year. Congratulations to both Sam Bradford and Blake Griffin, and the OU athletics department in general for its continued excellence.
The next important date for Griffin? April 26th, which is the deadline to declare for the draft. Basically we'll know in the next three weeks whether Blake is staying, although I'll say that personally I would be shocked if he was returning.

I don't see any way he returns
but it has been fun watching him the last two years.

…but what if he saw Tyler Hansborough win a championship after coming back and….
never mind. He’s not coming back. I’m just glad that he was a Sooner.
Some people are born on third base and go through life thinking they hit a triple.
