20 Football Videos In 20 Weeks: Part Two

New week, new football video. Everyone seemed receptive to this idea. With 19 weeks to go, we'll use a request from the comments section for this video. Remember, if you've got any ideas for videos for this segment, post them in the comments section.

This one doesn't really need an introduction, but I'll just say that it's probably one of the most legendary plays in OU history, perhaps even college football history. With that, I give you...

One of the greatest plays, ever

The thing that cracks me up about that play is that Mike Stoops had told him that no matter what happens don’t leave your feet. Ha!

I remember that comment from Mike Stoops!

I must say, this one should’ve been much later in the countdown. You want Sooner Magic? This could the greatest Sooner Magic moment of all time. What always amazed me about this play was not only the incredible playmaking by Roy Williams, but also the raw good luck for OU. That ball could’ve gone anywhere. It could’ve just fallen to the ground. It could’ve hit Lehman in the face mask and dropped. But we end up with something so much sweeter.

In spite of both the 63-14 and 65-13 games around the same time, this game might be my favorite OU-Texas game of all time. Don’t forget that after this play, Roy also made the tackle on the ensuing kickoff, then followed THAT up a mere one play later with another interception of a Chris Simms pass. There was also Andre Woolfolk’s amazing performance in the first half with a huge number of tackles, an interception, and a critical field goal block where it looks like he jumps 8 feet into the air. And don’t forget the unexpected entry of one Jason White, who came in for an injured Nate Hybl and sparked OU’s offense to their first touchdown on (of all things) an option play to Quentin Griffin. Blowouts are always good, but this game has a lot going for it in the annals of OU-Texas.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a countdown per se. It is more of just a segment to give everyone a fun video per week. I’m not really ranking them, just finding a video that I like every week and posting it :)

Maybe next offseason I’ll have a list compiled of all the best Sooner videos and I can rank them.

While I agree that it is one of the best plays of all time

The game against Ohio State in the horseshoe and the 1988 O-State game when Brent Parker dropped a sure touchdown pass are greater Sooner Magic Moments
