One Can Dream

Jerry Palm is projecting an awesome draw in the NCAA tournament for us (as of 1030 AM Thursday). Too bad he's not on the tournament selection committee.

Imagine this:

We are a 1 seed and play Morgan State. We advance to play the winner of Butler (Horizon League runners up) and Boston College. We advance to play whoever emerges out of Xavier, American, Illinois and Western Kentucky. Then, we would likely face Duke, Wisconsin, Villanova or Tennessee.

That's about as good of a draw as you could expect. There wouldn't be a whole lot of depth in our region beyond the 2 or 3 seed. In those kind of situations there can be lots of upsets, but basically there will be a lot of teams we could handle until a likely big matchup in the Elite Eight.

Like I said, one can dream...
