Signing Day 2009 Open Thread

Demontre Hurst is coming to Oklahoma to play football for the Sooners.

"OU was a dream school for me," he told Rivals. "I've been liking them since I've been growing up. For me to have the opportunity to go to school there it was special. I took a visit to the school and I loved it and liked the players there so it was good for me. Hopefully it will be good for them."

That’s the first big news of the day and hopefully there will be more. As soon as you hear something let us know and we’ll do our best to keep tabs all morning as the letters come in we’ll put the recruits name in bold italics below on the commitment list. If there are more surprises like Hurst and hopefully Reuben Randle we’ll place their names below.

good looking recruiting class

What do you guys think of the LB’s weight, 210, 212? I would have like some in the range of 235. Not in the B12 yet, but other conferences have QB’s bigger than that. Part of FU’s success came from the big QB’s weight.

Everyone has checked in except for Kevin Brent and Marcus Trice. Still no word on Randle.

According to Rivals, OU has the #13 Recruiting Class

Oklahoma State #36
Tulsa #56

Its a solid class, but I expected to see the Sooners in the top 10, especially after another BCS Championship appearance.

WELCOME TO LOUD CITY!

I think that OU's youth on the field had a lot to do with it

Unless you are a receiver the waiting line to get playing time is pretty long right now.
