Oklahoma To Take On Stanford In The Sun Bowl
We all knew we were going to the Sun Bowl and now we have an opponent, Stanford.
We have played two Heisman candidates (Suh & McCoy) so why not take on a third in Toby Gehart.
This should be a very entertaining game and I haven't seen a line yet but I wouldn't be shocked if we opened as a 4 point favorite.

opening lines have us a 10 point favorite (according to USA TOday's Odds section)
I am speechless – I think the Pac-10 was a much tougher conference this year than the Big12 – our only signature win (against OSU) does not really carry that much weight with me. I guess that is why they set lines that way – to make it seem like easy money.
10!?
Wow.
I mean I get it would be 10 if this game was in Norman but 10 is a lot of points.

But OU has been so good on the road
…………..
Oh…..wait……..
But the Sooners dominate in bowl games
……………
stanford is without their starting QB.. hence the -10

Still....
It’s not like they are replacing him with someone with no experience. The backup beat USC at home 2 years ago when they were 41 point underdogs. I just know we had better show up ready to play. It’s time we win another bowl game. I’m getting tired of not showing up in the bowls.
Two of the five commentators at Yahoo! Sports pick the Sun Bowl as the non-BCS bowl to watch
It seems there is a fair amount of interest in this game to see how Toby Gerhart matches up against the stiffest rush defense Stanford has faced this year.
Steve Megargee and Olin Buchanan both pick the Sun Bowl as the one to watch non-BCS bowl game to watch and I especially liked Megargee’s comments about seeing whether OU comes to play after having much bigger goals and how Stanford is 1-3 during the season against the other tough rush defenses they faced even though Gerhart had solid games.
