I hope he isn’t anything like Tbo. A friend of mine showed me these highlights about 3 days ago, and what I want to see is can he take a major hit, can he stay in the pocket at times and not get happy feet. My friend was telling me that Hutchinson High, which has won state for the past 6 years, lit Bell up like a Christmas tree but he got up every time. I also noticed that Bell can throw on the run to the left and right pretty well.
If he becomes the starter I also want the crappy spread thrown out the window and the meercat play calling to disappear as well.

….seeing a similar highlight video for Landry Jones on here. This doesn’t mean crap. From this video, it appears that Blake has the ability to hand off to superior runners, throw looping passes to wide open receivers and out run opposing defenders. I hope he gets the opportunity to compete for the QB job, but this doesn’t convince me that he is destined for greatness.
On the other hand, I guess our QB should only be expected to accurately distribute the ball to the real athletes.
We’ll need to recruit some quality offensive lineman before any QB can make an impact.
I saw...
this kid on the sidelines at the K-State game, and he was bigger than any of the recruits, even the ones that were obviously linemen. He seemed to spend a lot of time working the other recruits (Seastrunk was the only other one I recognized). He and his family were all decked out in OU gear, so if nothing else, he’s gung ho to be a Sooner.
