What The Crystal Ball Says About Iowa State And Minnesota In The Insight Bowl

Our magic crystal ball previews march on and we're on fire. We correctly predicted that Georgia would have a huge second half to beat Texas A&M and we also correctly predicted that Nebraska would find a way to score over 30 points on Arizona. Now we turn our attention to the Insight Bowl. We're predicting a highly entertaining game with a fourth quarter comeback making the difference in this one.  Here's the scoop and a few other predictions for the Insight Bowl.

Star-divide

  1. Iowa State will find success both on the ground and through the air. Austen Arnaud and Alexander Robinson will give the Gophers fits and will keep the Minnesota defense from settling in by maintaining balance.
  1. Third down conversions will hinder the Gophers early. Minnesota will struggle to convert on third down against an ultra aggressive Iowa State defense for much of the game.
  1. Minnesota will rally in the fourth quarter to win the game. The Cyclones will look like they've run out of gas when the Minnesota defense and offense suddenly find success in areas they hadn't previously. Look for an Iowa State turnover to help spark the Minnesota rally.
  1. Minnesota quarterback Adam Weber will be named player of the game. With over 250 passing yards, a couple of touchdowns and 4th quarter heroics to win the game he becomes the obvious choice.
