Tiny Gallon can’t seem to hold onto rebounds. We seem out of position on D a lot tonight

Out of Hand

Wow. UTEP living up to the hype thus far.

UTEP can spread the floor… that and we’re still out of position. Pledger clearly doesn’t earn minutes for his defense.

Capel's Stress/ Frustration Level

We may need to take up a collection for some aroma therapy candles or something, but someone needs to help Coach C cope with the stress of this job.

A couple months ago...

…I posted how I thought that this was going to be an interesting team. The only interesting about them is how bad they are.

There is an interesting article on SI.com today from Seth Davis. It basically says that Capel is very frustrated with Willie Warren’s immaturity. He is only a sophomore, but I expected that he would be able to make his teammates better.

I could accept a close loss, but we shouldn’t lose by 17 to UTEP and we shouldn’t beat Northern Colorado by only one point. I knew they are young, but I expected them to be better.

I think Fran Fraschilla hit the nail on the head...

… the OU players play like they’re in an AAU game. This is why OU is so easy to beat. Contrast that to the freshman play of Fred Gulley (OSU) in the nightcap. Look at Gulley’s line: 21 minutes, 0 shots, 0 points, 0 assists, but the guy played great defense, didn’t jack it up, had a steal, and only one turnover, and helped hold LaSalle to 62 pts, about the same Kansas held them to.

My jaw dropped when I saw OU beat N. Colorado by one point at home. Now I know why.

Agreed

the total lack of discipline is staggering. The team plays like a group of NBA wanna-be’s….but with out any where near the talent and shooting ability to do so.

Warren needs to run an offense. Gallon needs to learn to post up, and rebound with getting fouls on every trip.
