I need some help here fellas. I'm stuck in Central America until Monday which means little or no college football at all for me today. I'm hoping to be able to follow the game on the internet but down here there are no guarantees. Keep the game thread cranking so I can know what's going on!

Slow start for the Huskers

a curious call on 3rd & 11 for the QB draw

Good field position after the punt return by Broyles

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 7:17 PM CST reply actions

It almost looks like they are trying to

prevent the flurry that put them out of it quickly last year.

Plus with the true Frosh going against this defense…yeah, I’d call it real conservative to let him get his feet wet. We have to capitalize thought next time we get the ball.

Boomer Sooner!

U - G - L - Y

Unless Broyles runs one back this is going to be a long, lonely night for the offense getting into the end zone it seems

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 7:33 PM CST reply actions

As usual, if odds are we are just giving them the ball back, do it after 4 downs! Don’t freaking kick!

by OU JJ on Nov 7, 2009 7:35 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Agreed

esp. if NU’s offense keeps playing this way it makes sense

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 7:37 PM CST up reply actions

Good to see the o-line we know and love showing up

Letting guys in untouched , false starts – wait – we need some holding penalties to really regress completely back to the same state of the BYU game.

A forgettable 1st quarter...

… have to be feeling good if a Cornhusker fan

by inocybe on Nov 7, 2009 7:50 PM CST reply actions

they are not overly happy at CornNation

but they are predicting a 3-0 win in OT

33 total yards of offense in that quarter

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

Well, that's game

at least I can get to bed early tonight.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 7:56 PM CST reply actions

This is really getting embarrassing

KW better figure out how to generate some offense

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:00 PM CST reply actions

A drop, then an injury

Glad all I have is cookies around the house and no

 whiskey

by inocybe on Nov 7, 2009 8:04 PM CST reply actions

Thank you Trent Williams

adding a personal foul to his trophy case of false starts and holds

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:11 PM CST reply actions

Let's keep rolling

Get Jones in a rhythm and churn some yards

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:13 PM CST reply actions

I say kick the FG

He’s due one, but knowing Stoops they go for it.. and get stuck on the next set of downs

by inocybe on Nov 7, 2009 8:15 PM CST reply actions

52 is killing us

He is not letting anybody by him

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:26 PM CST reply actions

Why are they runnign the shovel

right towards Suh? Seems beyond silly to think that we are going to beat him.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:28 PM CST reply actions

by the hair of his chinny-chin-chin

that was a truly, truly, truly ugly half – but if it had happened between two SEC teams everyone would be singing the praises of the defenses

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:38 PM CST up reply actions

the worrying thing is the 2nd half for NU

cannot get worse – right? 64 yards in penalties, only 83 yards in offense – with 63 on a single play – so we have to figure something out on offense and actually finish some drives and get TDs rather than FGs in the red zone and not make any more mistakes on the defensive side of the ball.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 8:41 PM CST up reply actions

Win it for OU, that is.

OU has 11 first downs, NU 1. Yep, that’s right. 11 first downs to 1. Now who should win this game?

by inocybe on Nov 7, 2009 8:45 PM CST reply actions

we go three and out

and they pick up a first down on their first third-down conversion to open the 2nd half = NOT GOOD

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:06 PM CST up reply actions

And Fredo just betrayed himself...

… things have to turn now.

Watch out Johnny Ola

by inocybe on Nov 7, 2009 9:08 PM CST reply actions

Telegraph for NU defense

another one of those and we are cooked

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:11 PM CST reply actions

Weak call

that seemed like good defense – it is hard to tell from the camera angle they showed, but looked like general handsy stuff

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:13 PM CST reply actions

It's like false start bingo

I have 70, 71, 73 – I just need one more for the jackpot

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:13 PM CST reply actions

Jones - another mistake

He does not have to win the game – just not lose it. If he keeps making those mistakes, we are done

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:15 PM CST reply actions

Undisciplined play

again – we have them down and then give them a breath with a silly mistake.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:17 PM CST reply actions

Special teams

have been crap the past three years – Stoops really is slipping – he seems to think we can cruise against everyone it seems

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:39 PM CST up reply actions

Why why???? If it’s over 35 we cannot kick it!!!

by OU JJ on Nov 7, 2009 9:38 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Vito just took out the white suit...

… here’s to points for OU in the 4th

by inocybe on Nov 7, 2009 9:41 PM CST reply actions

This is really sad

I hate to sound like a broken record – but NU has 20 yds passing int his game – we are starting the 4th Q – and over 50% of their offense came on ONE play back in the 2nd Q. We gotta get a strip or something deep in their territory and just use all 4 downs to get in the end zone.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:42 PM CST reply actions

Nice D

way to stay home and shut that down

it is too bad that next year we will have lost all of these defensive starters and will also have a crappy o-line. I am getting really tired of losing to Texas all the time.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:44 PM CST reply actions

NO! NO! NO!

Third personal foul after the play – really!!!?

I don’t get it.

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:46 PM CST reply actions

Got lucky

why is he throwing into double coverage?

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:47 PM CST reply actions

that is not a personal foul

that is known as ‘finishing the block’

bad call

by Beergut on Nov 7, 2009 9:47 PM CST reply actions

Blood curdling stat of the game:

If we miss another field goal, we will equal the number of NU first downs for the game

by chrisabo on Nov 7, 2009 9:57 PM CST reply actions

OK

This is driving me nuts! I hate not seeing what is happening.

by ccmachine on Nov 7, 2009 10:11 PM CST via mobile reply actions

We sure are good...

at making average teams and average players look REALLY good.

by ousooner919 on Nov 7, 2009 10:26 PM CST reply actions

well, that was ugly

all verticals on that play was an interesting call

by Beergut on Nov 7, 2009 10:38 PM CST reply actions

that game was the Ugliest.

The Sooner’s went into a forest and got whipped, beat and then clobbered by an UGLY Stick.
