The Sooners' loss was their third straight. The last time OU lost three straight non-conference games was during the 1995-96 season (began 1-3 under Kelvin Sampson)

Not sure if this bodes well for us
but that squad still made the NCAAs by the hair of their chinny chin chins. Finishing the season 17-13, they lost to Missouri in the Big 12 tourney in OT and then promptly got blown out by Temple in the first round of the NCAAs (61-43) (HT to SoonerStats.com)
They better get it together pretty quickly as the easy portion of the non-conference schedule is for the most part over (still have Centenary and MD-Eastern Shore). We get Arizona and Arkansas at home so those will be good measuring sticks and hopefully we come back more or less in one piece from Spokane. After seeing how tough Gonzaga played Michigan State in Lansing, I don’t have a whole lot of hope on that front.
