My thoughts
I sure am glad basketball season has started! Sure am glad OU is a basketball school!

As I said in Dish's thread after the last game
the defense has no leader on the floor until Cade Davis comes in. These guys were standing wide open behind the arc the first 8 minutes. I wonder if TJ Franklin would bring the same type of intensity. He seems like quite an athlete that in the long run could be a stopper.

Missed the Game
What did we run on defense?

it was
you basic, leave one guy wide open behind the three point line at all times defense. VCU was very hot to start and got out to a fairly big lead. I think that combined w/ the atmosphere was just too much for our young guys to overcome. Warren was off and Pledger was just as bad. If this team isn’t hitting their jump shots they’re going to struggle and that’s definitely what happened here.
I have a question for anyone still reading this thread. VCU packed the house on Saturday and appeared, at least watching on tv, to be pretty loud. Now I realize they had a very good reason to show up and support their team w/ Capel coming back to town, but I wonder if this game had been in Norman how many OU fans would have been there? OU fans or notorious for not filling up Lloyd Noble, I mean hell we couldn’t even do it on a regular basis last year w/ the best player in the country on campus. I’m curious if this bothers anyone else as much as it bothers me? As an OU fan I certainly don’t want the reputation that we can’t support anyone else but the football team, so what’s it going to take to start filling up Lloyd Noble? We’ve got one of the best coaches in both men’s and women’s basketball as well as some of the best young and exciting players in the country. Tell any and every one you can to get out and support all our school’s teams, not just football!
