Time For The Pregame Meal

Chicken and corn are about to come off the grill.

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 6:17 PM CDT reply actions

Hey

chicken and corn sound good – we are having caesar salad and wings. Bradford won’t need to be dressed – we have two more defenders out.

by CGNC on Oct 3, 2009 7:11 PM CDT reply actions

It was good

Also had some fried potatoes with it

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 7:14 PM CDT up reply actions

Cameron Kenny!!!

Makes his first touchdown as a Sooner

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 7:23 PM CDT reply actions

2nd pick for the secondary!

Its a little harder to throw when your receivers aren’t wide open

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 7:30 PM CDT reply actions

10 pt lead and I am down to 2 beers

guess I will miss the half time show and go to Buddy Foods to replenish

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 7:59 PM CDT reply actions

Dang!

Don’t let them have momentum!!!

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 8:04 PM CDT reply actions

why didn't he bat that back

he didn’t need to set it down so neatly – it’s not like landshark is a 5-star restaurant

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 8:15 PM CDT up reply actions

landshark beer sucks

try it sometime, you won’t order it again

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 8:16 PM CDT up reply actions

Broyles Must Be Injured

He’s heading to the locker room

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 8:17 PM CDT reply actions

Anyone hear what happened? Has to be either an injury or (far less likely) a spat with the coaches, right? I can’t imagine he’d head to the locker room if it were anything else.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 3, 2009 8:31 PM CDT up reply actions

then they are in the clear

with the way they phrased it – as they said -" who served as head coach?"

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 8:20 PM CDT reply actions

USC is in complete control

I’m switching to the Houston game

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 8:30 PM CDT reply actions

WTH?

that’s all I can say….

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

How is LJ doing?

I say he is doing ok, several bad passes, several good passes, keeping a cool head, no deer in the headlights look, but he got rapped real good on one play.

On the side,. Madu has showed up fairly well, but Wilson’s play calling is LAME-O

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 8:36 PM CDT reply actions

Miami has 12 penalties

We have 6

On the plus side, our punting and kickoff coverage this year is so far tons better than last year. I should look the stats to confirm, but I know that my panic attacks on KOs don;t happen nearly as much as last year.

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 8:39 PM CDT reply actions

I just talked to my bulldog and

he thinks Wilson’s idea of opening up the offense is to call reverses. I tend to agree

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 8:48 PM CDT reply actions

Phew, rough game for you guys.

I have to admit that I do want you guys to lose, but I’d like Broyles and Kenney to get theirs in the process. I like don’t hate those two.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 3, 2009 9:01 PM CDT reply actions

LJ - nice throw

Now we need some others to help him out

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:03 PM CDT reply actions

"uptempo offense"????

Uh, what Herbstreit?

We have no rhythm on offense at this point – not sure how we can be up-tempo.

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:10 PM CDT reply actions

WTF? (Take 3)

Completely falling apart. This is an embarrassment at this point. WTF is Brown doing? Seriously…..

How many penalties can we get in a row? Thank goodness they are only calling half of the holds.

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:12 PM CDT reply actions

I just hope LJ does not get hurt

with the pathetic play of the o-line, I could see him taking some big hits since we have to throw to stay in this game

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:26 PM CDT reply actions

so do I,

precarious situation.

I am going to Buddy Foods for drinking material

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 9:27 PM CDT up reply actions

Well…looks like you guys found a serviceable replacement for Broyles, whatever the heck his problem is.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 3, 2009 9:27 PM CDT reply actions

I think the OL is the main problem. Get that to a respectable level, and depth problems as DB are suddenly much smaller, considering your offensive scheme.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 3, 2009 9:34 PM CDT up reply actions

TD!!!!

Murray would not be denied

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:36 PM CDT up reply actions

From that other blog....

9:34 p.m. | Pounding Murray
Murray’s 17 carries are a season high for an OU rusher, eclipsing the previous high of 16 carries by Chris Brown against Tulsa

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:39 PM CDT up reply actions

I have noticed that all night long

sometimes having B12 refs at an OOC game is not good. They lean over backwards to not look like homers

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 9:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Do we have it or not

can the O-line show us something, can the receivers show us something, can the RB’s break it loose? Only Carnak or is it Karnak, knows.

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 9:54 PM CDT reply actions

I know that we may not have the speed to stretch

but it seems like if we were in 2nd and short we could take a shot down the field – at least make them think about something deeper than 10 yards

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:56 PM CDT up reply actions

I think that may be the 3rd draw he has called in similar sitch

I understand wanting to use the D’s aggressiveness against them, but he seems to be keeping LJ under some pretty tight wraps.

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 9:59 PM CDT up reply actions

No doubt

The offense is so short handed

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 10:00 PM CDT up reply actions

and Gresham

those are perfect plays for him to pick up 6 on the reception across the middle and then bowl someone over for the final 3-4 yards needed for the first down. Look at how Miami has been abusing us with their TE

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 10:01 PM CDT up reply actions

It amazes me

their RB’s are going and ours are not

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 10:04 PM CDT reply actions

Now it's Big D time

3 and out, or better yet and OSKIE, even better yet an infamous onside!

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 10:16 PM CDT reply actions

Hope you land thieves lose

Since you’re probably cheating anyways

Your tongue can't repel flavor of that magnitude!!

by UT2001 on Oct 3, 2009 10:20 PM CDT reply actions

At least we are out of it early

Not like last year when the pain lasted through the last minutes of the final game

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 10:30 PM CDT up reply actions

They just don't have it this season fellas

0-3 in our last three games against ranked teams

by ccmachine on Oct 3, 2009 10:29 PM CDT reply actions

Like harris said

we knew they were going to stop the run, every time we play a really good team we seem to lay an egg.

NOTE to real SOONER fans, don’t read the Daily Oklahoman tomorrow.

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 10:31 PM CDT reply actions

Good night gents

I am going to the club to hear the band, JT and the Mudflaps…. an icon in this area and the crying will be great.

by scarab on Oct 3, 2009 10:32 PM CDT reply actions

Good game

was close and fun to watch. Both teams had starters that were out – 4 or 5 of our starting defensemen = Bradford, LOL. I was curious to see how my Canes would respond after laying an egg at VT. Have a good reaminder of the season

by CGNC on Oct 3, 2009 10:38 PM CDT reply actions

Y'all have been impressive so far

3-1 after your schedule certainly sets the stage for a big season and a bright future.

by chrisabo on Oct 3, 2009 10:47 PM CDT up reply actions

Thanks

It’s been a while – after Coker rammed the program into the ground – we have basically been irrelevant the last couple of years. You can relate when your team has won NC’s nothing else will really do…….we are spoiled. Bradford is a great QB I would love to see him come here to Charlotte and play for Carolina

by CGNC on Oct 3, 2009 10:56 PM CDT up reply actions

lol

WAy to go small game stoops! When will he be gone?

by oz10 on Oct 3, 2009 10:51 PM CDT reply actions
