Fiesta Bowl Game Thread

This thread will move over to the main page after the Oklahoma basketball game ends. So far the Big 12 South is 0-2 in bowl games and the conference needs Texas to win in order to have a chance for a winning bowl record. Surely the Longhorns won't go down to the Big 10, right? Or do you even care? Can Sooner fans cheer for Texas as long as it is for the greater good of the conference? I have to admit that I'm going to have a hard time with it because I know that they won't be cheering for us on Thursday night!

Here’s how I look at this (coupled with OU’s performance in the NC game)
Both Texas and OU win: Of course they got the wrong team in the NC!
Texas Wins, OU loses: They definitely got the wrong team in the NC game!
OU wins, Texas Loses: USC should have been in the NC game!
Texas Loses, OU loses: the BIG 12 sucks, and should never have a team in the NC championship for YEARS!

Boeckmann does not seem to bring much to the situation it seems. And Orakpo is going to get like fifty sacks in this game.

I just put on my tOSU hat, actually it an OU hat but is red and white.
I took off my Chevy Racing hat which was the puke orange color.

That game was not even supposed to be close. Once again I am not impressed. Your in trouble Thursday.The month off will affect your offenses timing , that is so necessary for your success. Florida will get the stops they need to win this one.
I have never been impressed with UT this year.
The last time I was impressed with UT, Ear Campbell was running the ball.
For Thursday's game
I have a different OU hat. It is sod by the Cherokeed nation. It has OU written in Cherokee and yes it a NCAA licensed hat. The ony time I did not wear it was for the OU/UT game. I wear on Game days only.
I hope the hurry up is an indicator to what wi happen to UF. You do know that we run itr about twice as fast as UT, and Sam is a much more accurate pass than the ‘giry man’.

We got what we needed…they couldn’t even cover the spread against an inferior Ohio State team. No disrespect to the Buckeyes, but Texas should probably have won this game by two touchdowns. Texas had to resort to no-huddle all the time to get anything going.

They were ineffective running the ball in the 3rd quarter without him, although once they let Pryor loose in the 4th quarter they seemed to be okay. But having Wells as an option would have loosened things up even more.

For the Sooners: Good News, Bad News.
The good news is that the Longhorns argument for a spot in the National Championship Game has taken a big hit this bowl season. The bad news is that the Big XII conference as a whole and particularly the South Division, have failed to impress. That, coupled with Alabama’s stunning loss, will almost certainly guarantee that talk of USC (if you guys win) and/or Utah (if we win) deserving a claim at the National Title will start before the final play is snapped Thursday night…

Whoever wins, five years from now no one will give much thought to how wrong this season was to some teams. A national championship is a national championship, just like UT is claiming a win is a win over OSU tonight, no matter how it went.
I've been jumping to the UT after game postings.
Of course, they are downplaying not covering the spread or having the “right” to play in the BCS Championship and instead jumping into “being able to win their bowl games.” My, if OU wins on Thursday, I’m sure there will be more UT excuses.
