First, a nice article on Coach Stoops from the Gainesville Sun...

Next, this story is making its way around Gator Nation with reckless abandon. I have already received it via e-mail and text.  This Gator says "meh....."  Franks didn't really call out anyone or say anything that I would call "bulletin board material." I think the media often looks too hard at these things...I would hope our team doesn't need something this marginal for motivation.

Just thought you guys would find the above interesting....

Thanks

I read the Franks quote in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram today. Only 4 more days and it will be settled on the field and not in print.

Miami bound...

I think Franks...

was being too conservative saying we had three QBs better than Tebow in the Big 12. He should have really made it ugly and thrown Chase Daniel and Zac Robinson ahead of Tebow as well and said that it’s a toss up between Tebow, Robert Griffin, Josh Freeman, and Todd Reesing for sixth, seventh, eigth, and ninth best.

Why Not?

Kind of like how Oklahoma’s D would be the second worst (in front of only Arkansas’ miserable unit) in the SEC?

Well

Tebow DID finish #3 in the Heisman balloting behind 2 Big 12 QB’s, so it’s not like Franks is too far off in his opinion.

Thought Clint Hurdle should be fired before it was cool.

Meh.

You can hang your hat on the Heisman being the ultimate judge of a player’s ability. That said, Tebow had the most 1st place votes…
