Gerald McCoy to Return in 09
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=ap-t25-oklahoma-mccoy&prov=ap&type=lgns
Espn and now the AP are reporting that DT Gerald McCoy will return. We should get a flood of this news in the next few day as Thursday is the final day to declair for the NFL draft.
OU is still waiting on the decisions of sophomore quarterback Sam Bradford, junior tight end Jermaine Gresham and junior offensive tackle Trent Williams, who have all said they're considering leaving early for the NFL (from the Daily Oklahoman)
Also we know DeMarco Murray has applied to find out his draft slot if he went pro, but due to his history of injuries, I don't think that would be too high, but OU's back-filled has the potential to be VERY crowded next year.
Will all the offensive guys stay? Will they all go?
Individually here's my take:
Bradford: Gone. New O-line in 09, top 5 pick, big money. He's a proto-typical NFL QB. There is a growing thought that underclass QB's don't pan out, and they need the experience to make decisions at the next level, but I predict that Bradford will be wearing a KC Chief jersey next year.
Gresham: Gone. Is a dominating match-up in college, with size, speed and hands...just what the NFL wants in TE's 1st round draft pick. He might stay if Bradford does to improve hands.
Williams: Returns: O-Linemen get better with age, and experience, unlike a lot of football positions. I assume he would return

Murry: Gone. He won't go too high (5th round I've heard), but he may lose even more playing time to Calhoun and Madu, and stats due to new offensive line if he stays. He may go down if he stays.

I have to disagree across the board.
Here’s my percentages for the guys you have listed and I feel pretty damn confident about all of them.
Bradford – 90% (Staying)/ 10% (Going)
Gresham – 60% / 40%
Williams – 40% / 60% (although I think he comes back if Sam and Jermaine do as well)
Murray – 100% / 0%

Dom Franks is a good friend of mine and his brother told me
That all four are leaning towards coming back because they want to win a title. He told me that Gresham told him that he is coming back for what it is worth.

Im hearing the same things
Sounds like Gresham is almost back for sure with Sam right behind. Doesn’t sound as good for Trent though.

I am not too worried about the Line
Like others seem to be.
We have some very good players who have just been behind some even better players.

Dean Blevins is reporting today,
that Bradford, had a talk with Purcells of the Dolphins this weekend, and Purcells, told Sam, to stay another year, and add bulk/weight. Purcells, told him that if he came out now, and went to either the Lions or the Chiefs he would get KILLED, and he didn’t know about pressure, cause he didn’t have any at OU this year.
Gresham is probably going according to Deano, as it’s a financial issue for him and his family, and is projected as a mid-first round pick
Williams, Blevins said, was leaning towards coming back, but said he was OU’s best lineman this last year, and might go, and would be a mid to late 2nd round pick, but if he came back, added weight, and moved to Left Tackle for 09 he could be and Outland candidate, and 1st rounder
DeMarco Murray is leaning towards leaving, or would want to, but he may be a late round pick or even not taken according to Blevins, and so DeMarco would probably return.

Bradford may not be a top 10 pick
according to the Tulsa World (from CBSportsline.com).

If so, he’s coming back.

Yep that looks like he will be back if he's that low
and I liked the “Tidbits” section above it….some interesting notes on coaches and the Cotton Bowl/Armed Forces Bowl.

Yeah, the tidbits were tasty...
… don’t know about Broyles in the wildcat formation though. They could call it the Gas Can formation. I think Murray would fill a potential wildcat slot a bit better and be able to knife up the middle.

If you remember...
Murray was doing it as a freshman. I was surprised we never saw it this season.
