Athlon Brings the Smack - Sunday Morning Quarterback
This quote about the Sooners is crazy true...
Oklahoma: "The games they lost last year, they were a little bit bored, it looked like. When they played West Virginia, it looked like they didn’t have any juice. When those guys want to play, they’re scary."

Unfortunately I Have To Agree
We’ll give them props for winning the Big 12 Championship last season but the losses to Colorado and West Virginia and the near miss at Iowa State make you question that team’s heart and killer instinct. Hopefully it will be a different story in 2008!

coaching
I have noticed this about the team for a few years now. At first I thought it was just because highly recruited kids seem to have big heads and sometimes don’t play as hard. But the truth is that alot of teams have highly recruited players and they (LSU, USC) are winning championships. I hate to say it, but when a team fails to have heart or killer instinct, and it persists over several seasons with several different groups of players, it’s gotta be some what of a reflection of the coaching staff. I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but when Mike Stoops was here, there was never more fire on the sideline. it just seems that when he left, so did our fire.
