Ugly Win Gets Sooners Into Semi's

It took some work but the Sooners beat the Buffaloes 54-49 to advance to the Semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament.

Blake Griffin had a season low 4 points but the Sooners hit enough shots to get the victory. The key to this victory was containing Richard Roby and Marcus Hall. That duo, combined for 58 against Baylor in the 1st round, was held to 30 and 3 other Buffs combined for the remaining 19 points.

The Sooners held the Buffs to 34.6% shooting helping offset the 32.8% shooting of their own. The Sooners also used a substantial size advantage to out rebound the Buffs, 44-34.

Overall, I will take an ugly win over a pretty loss, but to beat Texas on Saturday, the Sooners must hit some shots and contain D.J Augustin as best they can.
