Lost in the BCS kerfluffle - Sooner WBB facing long odds against UConn

After last week's game against UNC, the Sooner women could use a win to build some confidence and bolster the overall program resume.

While we have made great strides under Coach Coale, we still struggle mightily when it comes to breaking into the royalty of WBB.  Witness the problems that we have had with UConn over the years.

Unfortunately, we were playing in Storrs where UConn was 85-2 coming into the game and they are now 86-2 after pummeling us 106-78.  It's early in the season and our two losses have come to two teams ranked in the top 5, but my guess is that Coach Coale is disappointed that this was not closer.

Courtney Paris racked up her two billionith consecutive double-double (really it was her 98th which might as well be two billion - that is really freakin' amazing), but our three-point shooting suffered again.  Not so much percentage-wise (we shot 50% from beyond the arc), but just that we did not get that many looks (10 attempts vs. UConn's 23 attempts).

Hopefully the team pulled some positives from this and it gets us ready for later in the year as the conference is shaping up to be pretty tough this year with Baylor, Texas, & A&M in the top 10 and OSU & ISU in the top 25 right now.
