Oklahoma -7 vs. Texas Tech

Sooners installed as seven point favorites. Just wondering what you guys thought about the line. Is this Oklahoma team that good enough to beat up the Red Raiders in Norman, especially after what they did to Texas and Oklahoma State? Oklahoma hasn't really had a quality win other than TCU and they got run over by Colt McCoy and Shipley in the Red River Shootout, so what's the plan for stopping Harrell and Crabtree?

What do you guys think? Will the homefield advantage be enough to roll the Sooners to the Big 12 title game? Or will it be a close-knit affair?

The Sooners have

only lost 2 games at home in the past 10 years not to mention the Sooners can score right along with TT. Cincy should be a quality win since they are going to win their conference and have only lost two games one of which is to the Sooners. Sooners will win this game 55-34.

Quality Win?

Well, the OU defense and kicking games have gotten better as the season has gone along. They did KILL Kansas St, Nebraska, & Baylor, the teams they should have killed.

BUT…not only has OU beaten TCU, they also beat Cincinnati, also a top 25 teams. (2 reasons I think if OU wins out the regular season, they step ahead of Texas)

Thought Clint Hurdle should be fired before it was cool.

Execution.

Oklahoma is the better team. Tech runs very few plays, but they run them to perfection. Oklahoma’s defensive front four has to have a great game, rattle Harrell, & disrupt thier timing. Offense-push, Defense-push, Special Teams-Tech, Coaching-Sooners. Tech O-line vs. OU’s D-line, there’s the rub. If the “ends” have a great game, OU wins easy.

Actually

I would give the Offensive edge to Oklahoma. Sam Bradford and the rest of the offense are the best in the nation. Think about it! Opposing teams have to go into a week of practice, just hoping to hold OU to under 35 points! Unbelievable!

I agree that the defense is a push. Nobody will know how good the defenses are from the Big 12, until bowl season. These defenses have to face such great offenses every week, its hard to say which team executes better, unlike Florida, whose defense faces pro-style, run-first offenses every week.

As much as it kills me to say it, I think that right now, Mike Leach might have an edge over Stoops. I love Bob Stoops just as much as any Sooners fan in the nation, but Mike is an offensive genius. I can’t wait to see Mike go to Tennessee and dominate the SEC!

I agree, however, that Oklahoma wins this game. In fact, I think OU wins this game by 14 points.

I predict

The Sooners will give up a special teams TD in this game. :)

The way I see it

OU stays close for the first half, but falters in the second and gets behind for good going into the fourth quarter……Tech 49…….ou 28

Sooners will score more than 28

Agreed

Given the relative similarities between Tech and OU, I see this going four OTs with someone dropping a 2-pt conversion to decide this.

I think

OU will win, but the 7 point spread seems a little high. This has the feel of a 41-38 kind of game.

I think

We both hit 40…prediction later in the week.

I think that whichever team wins it will be +14.

I also think....

Whoever wins, wins by 14+

Go Tech!!!
