2008 Sooner Football Prospects: J.R. Bryant

The 2008 Oklahoma football recruiting class is deep at linebacker with four already offering verbal commitments. Bryant is a four star recruit according to Rivals and is also the 34th ranked junior college prospect by the same source. He was a KJCCC All Conference linebacker at Garden City Community College and was also a Junior College All American.

There are two starting positions open among Oklahoma's linebackers and when you add Mike Reed into the mix with these four commitments it will make for a very interesting position battle this spring and fall.

Oklahoma beat out Arkansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, South Florida and Texas Tech for Bryant's oral commitment.
